In the line of military and defense, drones or UAV’s (unmanned aerial vehicles) have been used for a lot of purposes. The United States of America is one of the major countries that spend a lot of money on drone technology. If drones fascinate you, then you should know some of its purposes used in the military.

  1. For Detecting Bomb – Since the size of the drone is on the smaller side, it can travel to constricted spaces that aren’t possible with bigger aircraft, vehicles, and humans. Furthermore, bomb detection is possible by a drone due to the ability to have a camera making it easier to detect. This way, a drone can save the lives of many.
  2. For Surveillance – Conducting regular surveillance especially on the borders from danger is what all countries conduct. With the use of a drone’s equipped camera, it can do a proper inspection of the area which reduces the load on humans and other bigger aircraft. The drone operator can easily check without the need to go to the area. However, the only drawback of surveillance with a drone is an invasion of privacy which raises concerns in other areas such as bigger cities.
  3. For Air Strikes – Unmanned aerial vehicles have been used as a weapon of airstrikes against militants. The UAV is fast and has the capability of striking with pre-installed weapons on the enemy. However, using UAVs for military airstrikes has raised some form of concern for many political leaders in the world.

Professional drone training is a must if you wish to get in the military to use these high-tech vehicles.
